performance art + social technology
Soul Salons have emerged on the scene as a revolutionary genre of immersive performance art, where Jess Magic and her featured heartists blend story-telling and philosophy with original music and improvisation. The result is an interactive musical experience where the audience becomes an essential part of the creative process.
As a “social technology”, Soul Salons have been brought into global summits and corporate retreats to effectively drop participants into flow-state, deepen innovation sessions and support with authentic communication, emotional intelligence and team-building.
In social settings (dinner parties, birthday gatherings, and as an alternative to standard house concert) they serve as quite the party trick, as guests are guided into a state of connection, authenticity and intimacy. Depending on the theme, the Salon allows for a deep exploration into the heart’s journey of love, loss, healing, resilience, evolution, expansion, establishing right relationship with the Earth and remembering our humanity.
Attendees experience a meditative depth of presence as they witness internal and external barriers to their expression being broken down in moments, while enjoying a musical dialogue that rises from the willingness of the group to be raw, reverent and real.
Audiences are often intentionally curated, to create utmost safety, inspiration, and willingness to be taken on a magic carpet ride of music, story, poetry and conversation, with no boundaries between the artist and the audience.
